Hielo Sur A & B
Hielo Sur A & B
Not your standard landscape photograph, but then the Hielo Sur is hardly your standard landscape. The largest glacial field outside the polar regions, it offers some incredible sights. I had certainly never experienced anything like this place and it has to be said that it was not an easy place to photograph. Or even just to be. These was taken at dusk after retreating from where we had been pinned by the wind for almost three days to a refuge high on the rocks and the horizon blurred as the wind whips the ice from the surface of the glacier....
I have several pictures of the mountains and features rising from the vast plain of ice but it is these two, more abstract images that have proven most popular and that I keep returning to myself.
These two shots work so well together that I am offering them as a pair. If you are particularly interested in just the one or the other then by all means let me know but the two hung next to each other create a wonderful display. Rather than the standard black frame that my other limited edition prints come in, these are presented in a white border which works perfectly with the scene.
Limited Edition run of 120 of each image.
Prints are 32cm along longest edge.
Frames are approx 58cm along longest edge.
Unframed (both prints): £250
Framed (both images): £330
